1 Linking to Spellbook

You can use URLs to link to Spellbook content from elsewhere. If you have installed Spellbook through any of the recommend options (and opened the app once in the case of Windows), this should just work.

Spellbook currently understands the following links:

Link Opens
spellbook://Spell/2024/Fireball The 2024 spell Fireball
spellbook://Spell/DnD2024/Fireball The 2024 spell Fireball
spellbook://Spell/Fireball The 2024 spell Fireball
spellbook://Spell/5e/Fireball The 5e spell Fireball
spellbook://Character/Ael%C3%A0r+Na%C3%AFlo The character Aelàr Naïlo ^*
spellbook://Item/component+pouch The item Component Pouch ^*
spellbook://Encounter/My_Name The Encounter My_Name ^+
spellbook://Monster/Myname The monster Myname ^+

As is typical, these links are not case-sensitive.

^* If a name contains special characters (in this example é, ï and (space)), they are should be replaced with their percent encoding (i.e. replace with +). This is the case for all Spellbook links, not just character and item links.

^+ You can only access these categories if you have DM Options enabled in your settings.
