The eight beta release features significant changes to the internal structure of Spellbook. The app now only contains SRD spells and classes by default and allows users to import classes, subclasses and custom spells from external sources through the Spellbook extension system. The remaining spells however have been given more care, with the 5e spells now using adaptive formatting and the 2024 spells now always providing stat blocks for summons (including the default options for spells like
Find Familiar).
There have also been mutliple bug fixes and improved functionality.Note
As a part of the move to include only SRD spells in the app, all prior internal releases containing IP from Wizards of the Coast have been removed. The prior release notes were preserved but do not have a corresponding tag in the project tree and older versions of the app are not downloadable.
